Open Core Competencies for Community Health Workers

May 11, 12, 18, 19, (consecutive Mondays and Tuesdays) 9am-4pm

D’Youville College

This course builds qualities, knowledge, and skills for CHWs working in health, education, community development, and human services. Training design is interactive and participatory, and accommodates individuals with various learning styles and preferences. Trainers will have extensive knowledge, skills, and experience in the content areas; as well as community and supervisory experience. Research and training materials are based on national best practices and infused with local context.
