Buffalo CHW and past CHWNB Board Co-Chair given CHW of the Year Award!
Nadia Pizzaro, a local CHW in the city of Buffalo at Lakeshore Behavioral Health, and past Board Co-Chair of the Community Health Worker Network of Buffalo, was awarded the "CHW of the Year" through the American Public Health Association/CHW section. This award was given on November 17th at the American Public Health Association's annual conference held in New Orleans. CHWNB executive director Jessica Bauer Walker and current Board Co-Chair Deirdre Wright were there to celebrate this great accomplishment for Nadia and for the Community Health Worker Network of Buffalo. The CHWNB nominated Nadia for this award because we believe CHW's deserve respect and appreciation for the work they do. Please help us continue to raise the profile of CHW's and our network!
