Community Puts Forth Solutions to Transform Community Health at CHWNB Health Policy Summit

Local, state, and national experts Erie County Health Commissioner Dr. Gale Burstein and Regional Director of HUD Bill O’Connell and Dr. Andy Coates, President of Physicians for a National Health Program headlined a health policy summit at Canisius attended by a large cross section of Community Health Workers and other practioners around the City of Buffalo. CHW's and other leaders from Jericho Road Community Health Center, Buffalo Public Schools Health Related Services, Leaving our Legacy, Matt Urban Hope Center, and PUSH Buffalo also shared strategies for improving community health through a holistic framework, and empowering people of and from the community (CHW's!) to make the changes that they want to see.
