Buffalo Schools not in Compliance with Student Activity Rules
Parent, students, and community health advocates need to keep the pressure on here…we’ll be doing a press conference on Wednesday 10/9 at 5pm and then going to the Buffalo Board of Education meeting after to tell the Buffalo Public Schools to get in compliance with state laws as they relate to health education and physical education.
As CHW’s, we continue to stand up for the health and well-being of our children, even when it is hard to do so, or those in charge don’t like what we have to say. Please contact Superintendent Dr. Pamela Brown at pcbrown@buffaloschools.org and Buffalo Board of Education President Dr. Barbara Nevergold at pcbrown@buffaloschools.org to tell them to comply with NYS Education Department regulations on health education and physical education. Our children can’t wait for years and rely on empty promises to make a difference in sky high rates of obesity, teen pregnancy, and sexually transmitted diseases, and mental health issues.
