    Nadia Pizzaro, a local CHW in the city of Buffalo at Lakeshore Behavioral Health, and past Board Co-Chair of the Community Health Worker Network of Buffalo, was awarded the "CHW of the Year" through the American Public Health Association/CHW section.     The CHWNB and Canisius College partner to create a CHW certificate program

    The CHWNB has been working closely with the Canisius College Center for Professional Development to create a certificate program for Community Health Workers. This program is in the planning stages and will be moving towards implementation in the near future.
